Hollow Lantern

Hollow Lantern is a quiet adventure game that trusts you to wander. You guide a small figure through a dim, overgrown world, lighting lanterns that push back the dark and slowly reveal where to go next. There's barely any text, and it works beautifully, the environment tells you everything.

Movement is a simple tap-to-walk system that fits the slow, contemplative pace. We found ourselves pausing just to look at the backgrounds, which are painted with a lovely sense of decay and quiet. Puzzles are light touch, more about noticing things than brute logic.

It's short, maybe three hours, but it's the kind of short that lingers. If you want something calm to play before bed, this is a rare treat on mobile.
